Hi,

I can hardly hear the other side when I'm on a video call, atlhough the volume is set to max. The speaker itself can be much louder when playing music, games, etc.

Hello DL,

There are no known audio issues on iPhone 3GS, the problem may be caused by your calling partner's device.

Can you please let me know what device your calling partner is using?

Does plugging in a headset help?

Also, do you know if your phone is jailbroken?

Thanks!

Well, the call is made between two iPhone 3GSs, audio is ok when I'm not on a speaker - like a normal voice call - but is very quiet when I switch to speaker and max the volume. I don't have a headset with me so I will try that later. I have jailbroken my iPhone only recently (on FW 5.01) but the issue was the same long time ago when I tried video calling with Tango. Second iPhone is a virgin ;)

Thanks for the info DL, we'll see if we can reproduce this here and good luck with the headset.

DL,

We conducted some tests using two iPhone 3GSs (1 was jailbroken), but we weren't able to reproduce this problem.

Make sure both phones are using the latest versions of Tango (1.6.18634) and let me know if the headset helped.
